Northway Academy, a member of the Sevita family offers day program services using Applied Behavior Analysis so children, and their families, can reach goals of increased growth and independence.
Responsibilities:
Children with Autism have a variety of developmental, learning, physical and emotional needs. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to achieve the following: Run therapeutic and behavioral plans, and provide early intervention to increase social and self-management skills Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from communication, exercise and nutrition and academic skills to assist with school readiness Support individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as: hygiene, grooming and/or toileting Teach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities Provide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
Requirements:
Qualifications: Must be minimum of 18 years of age A compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitude An ability to connect with children with an ability to work with others to accomplish goals Experience in human services preferred but not mandatory Successful clearance of background checks
