Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer provides leadership for all aspects of the company’s operations with an emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit, return on investment and creating a positive work culture. Benefit Category: Full time, Salaried/Exempt (Executive Exemption). Benefits eligible. ESOP benefits upon meeting plan entry requirements. Hours Worked: Usual hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Schedule must be flexible to accommodate various facility, personnel, and organizational needs. Position requires semi-regular travel and/or overnight stays. Must be available on weekends, evenings, and holidays. Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities: Understands and oversees the ongoing operations of all divisions in the company. Manages and directs the company toward its primary goals and objectives. Oversees employment decisions at the executive level of the company. Provides leadership on all major decisions including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, or large-scale expansion. Promotes communication and cooperation among divisions to create a spirit of unity in the organization. Duties/Responsibilities: Works with the board of directors and other lead personnel to establish short-term objectives and long-range goals, and related plans and policies. Responsible for creating a work environment which reflects the company’s core values of Ownership, Leadership, Focused, Knowledgeable, and Nurturing. Has direct contact with employees in the field on a regular basis to maintain awareness of challenges, follow up on concerns, and offer support and appreciation for their contributions. Presents regular reports on the status of the company’s operations to the board of directors and to company staff. Oversees the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the company. Reviews the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company’s objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results. Ensures the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards. Negotiates with other companies regarding actions such as mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures. Serves as the company’s representative to the board of directors, shareholders, employees, customers, the government, and the public. Other duties Accurately and timely document and submit work time, paid time off, mileage and expense reimbursement. Use the most appropriate means of communication. Work in a safe and responsible manner using good judgment when participating in physically exerting activities to prevent and minimize injuries and accurately reporting near misses and incidents in a timely manner. Act in an honest, ethical and professional manner in all aspects of fulfilling the requirements of the position and at all times while on duty (both on and off EON, Inc.’s property). Use EON, Inc.’s equipment, tools, supplies, etc. for work purposes only and to use work time in an efficient and effective manner. Communicate and correspond with community agencies and resources, as necessary. Represent EON by active participation at professional organizations, county, and community activities through provider groups etc. Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization. Requirements:
Minimum Job Qualifications: Four (4) years of management/supervisory experience in Home and Community Based Services or Health Care industry. Valid driver’s license and meet qualifiers to be insured by EON, Inc.’s vehicle insurance provider. Must have safe and operational vehicle for business purposes. Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies. Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description. Able to read and write in English. Must meet the qualification of a Designated Manager which includes any of the following: Bachelor of Science degree in a field related to human services and one year of experience Associates Degree or Diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution and 2 years (4,160 hours) of experience. Four years (8,320 hours) of experience under the supervision of a staff person who meets the previous listed qualifications. AND three (3) years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, organizational management Seven (7) years of experience working in the field Experience with and knowledge of, rules and regulations governing Home and Community Based Services, Intermediate Care Facilities, and the health care industry. Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations area. Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader. Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.
