Overview:
Linnea Residential Home is seeking a Designated Manager/Coordinator who will oversee 3 HCBS homes with 13 dynamic individuals who call Linnea their home. As a nonprofit agency we work every day to build positive relationships through our core values : Support, Attitude, Advocacy, and Integrity. • The Designated Manager/Coordinator’s function is to oversee all aspects of individual programing for people with disabilities. • This includes compliance with 245d licensing requirements, hiring, training, coordination and planning of client needs, supervision of staff, scheduling, development and implementation of staff training/meetings and client behavioral management and support planning. • This position requires a person with energy, creativity, and desire for improving the lives of others. • The primary goal is to provide program oversight and coordinated teamwork to strengthen and enhance the skills of staff and help residents achieve personal goals and live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities:
• Support, direct and provide immediate supervision to the team of House Managers. • Assist House Managers in coaching/mentoring employees and follow through with progressive disciplinary actions, as needed. • Coordinate, supervise and manage the execution of the developmental program services per current MN DHS licensing standards. • Oversee and advocate for the development of each person’s support plan and service outcomes, working jointly with other team members to assure that person centered support plans are carried out. • Participate in program budget preparation, assuring adequate program record keeping. • Participate in the administration of personnel management including interviews and performance evaluations, training/development of Direct Support Professionals and ensure employees are following Linnea Residential Home policies and procedures. • Positively engage employees, work to increase staff morale, make frequent onsite visits to ensure employees feel supported and competent to carry out their job duties. • Attend regular board and committee meetings as assigned.
Requirements:
Linnea Residential home follows requirements as outlined in 245d. All applicants must: • Bachelor’s Degree in related field. o 3 years supervisory experience required; and 1 year of full-time work providing direct care (could count towards 3 years of supervisory experience) services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older. OR • Associate degree in related field. o 3 years supervisory experience required; and 2 years of full-time work providing direct care (could count towards 3 years of supervisory experience) services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older. OR • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities AND 4 years FT work experience* under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualification identified in 1-3 above. 3 years supervisory experience required (*work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older)
