Wingspan Life Resources has an opening for a compassionate, experienced candidate to fill the lead role of House Manager position at one of our group homes in Bloomington. Founded in 1973, Wingspan Life Resources is a growing and dynamic nonprofit organization that provides services people with developmental and other disabilities in 27 residential homes, a Crisis Respite Center, and In-Home programs throughout the Twin Cities. We currently offer a fantastic $1500 sign-on bonus for all of our new House Coordinator/Manager positions: $500 after the first 4 months of service, $500 again after 8 months, and an additional $500 after 1 year. Responsibilities:
Supervises a team of employees and volunteers in a residential setting for 4 clients with developmental disabilities, providing direct care as needed. The House Manager is a committed and caring person who assures a living environment which promotes the active involvement of the men and women served through choice, respect, empowerment and promotion of well-being. The House Manager is responsible for all on-site operational aspects of Residential Services and performs all duties in accordance with the mission and policies and procedures of Wingspan Life Resources. Provides guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security and safety to the clients we support Provides support and assistance to the client to develop, enhance, renew or continue their natural support network Coordinates all on-site operational aspects of the residential services program in accordance with Federal, State and County regulations, personnel policies and procedures and union contracts Recruits, trains, and supervises a team of employees and volunteers that effectively provide care, implement programs and enhance the quality of life for clients living in Wingspan homes, according to Wingspan hiring procedures Responds to site emergency situations and participates in the E-Cell rotation, effectively advising employees and arranging for care and/or treatment Develops and monitor client plans Prepares reports and required documentation, monitor and maintain financial records.

Requirements:
18 years of age or older Minimum one?1-2 years experience in working with clients with developmental disabilities Supervisory experience in a residential setting with strong planning and organizational skills preferred Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate, read, and write in English The ability to successfully pass a background check as determined by the Department of Human Services A valid Driver's License, reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance, and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check A passion for helping individuals feel happy, successful, and safe in their lives highly desired.
