Overview:
Mains’l Services, Inc. is currently seeking a part-time Positive Support Analyst /Behavioral Health Counselor. As a member of the Wellness department this position provides advanced assessment, therapeutic interventions and support for persons who have developmental disabilities and/or coexisting mental health concerns with behavioral health needs. As a Positive Support Analyst the Behavioral Health Counselor provides behavioral/mental health assessment, helps to develop and train on person-centered treatment plans in support of the person and their support teams within home and community based settings. The addition to the wellness team will be a part of a creative team that prides itself on developing person centered, innovative therapeutic / behavioral supports for people, which leads to an increased quality of life. This position provides some flexibility with how hours of support are delivered as well as the opportunity for free supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to support teams Conducts initial behavioral and functional assessments ensuring quality in services and supports Meets with the person and conducts assessment through interview and observation; Meets with the staff, case managers, family, and other stakeholders Reviews historical data, medical history and other information ensuring a complete and accurate assessment; Reviews support plans and behavior plans written by the staff or others; Writes a behavioral plan, functional assessment or timeline of events Submits the behavioral and functional assessment to the team Develops and writes behavioral treatment plans and skill acquisition programs, including documentation requirements, supporting the behavioral assessment and incorporating personal outcome methodologies. Modifies and revises treatment plans and skill acquisition programs responding to data, environmental changes or other variables;

Requirements:
A waiver positive support analyst have one of the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or Ph.D. in a social services discipline. Qualifications of a mental health practitioner as defined in Minn. Stat. §245.462, subd. 17. Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. Minimum one year of experience developing and implementing therapeutic /behavioral interventions to a diverse populations which include those with a developmental disability, mental health and/or behavioral health, physical health, traumatic brain injury, autism, and chemical dependency A valid driver’s license Reliable Transportation and Valid Insurance Coverage Ability to pass a background check through the DHS Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing support and training to caregivers Experience with application of evidence based behavioral practices and/or therapeutic approaches Working knowledge of positive behavior supports Working knowledge of person-centered practices and trauma informed care Experience working 1:1 to support skill building for person(s) with disabilities
