Direct Support Professional (Day Support Services)
Overview:
As a Day Support Staff you will assist, teach and mentor participants who have a diagnosis of intellectual, mental health and/or physical disability who desire to learn new job skills.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing employment and life skills training to assigned individuals as outlined in the person’s individual plans. Implement person centered goals and objectives related to vocation, social, leisure, and communication skills. Work as a part of a team and represent the company well both internally and externally. You will use the company's 15 passenger van to pick up and drop off individuals.
Requirements:
1+ year experience working with adults with mental illness, mental health disabilities and/or physical disabilities High school diploma /GED required. Anyone with a Social Work degree will be expected to have a Social Worker License as required by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
