Overview:
Homeward Bound serves children, adolescents and adults with a variety of disabilities, but we have the unique capacity of meeting the needs of those with the most severe and profound disabilities. Our direct support professionals, nurses, nurse care managers, supervisors and managers work together to provide respectful, dignified personal assistance and support to children and adults with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a scheduling supervisor to coordinate staffing resources to assure adequate numbers of appropriately trained staff are on duty as required by licensor and Homeward Bound to implement the established individualized program plan and ensure the safety of the individuals living at Homeward Bound. This position is located in Brooklyn Park and has a flexible schedule. The position also includes a minimum of 4 direct care shifts per month, 2 during the week and 2 on the weekend (Sat/Sun). Some Examples of Work performed: · Effectively manage the staffing schedule for assigned location. · Supervise and schedule the Program Resources Network Specialists and On Call staff at assigned location. · Use available technology to manage schedules and time cards. · Provide regular reports to management on overtime, mandating, attendance, and other related data. · Perform a minimum of four direct care shifts per month, two on weekdays and two on weekends.
Requirements:
· Three years of post-high school education and/or experience with people with developmental disabilities. · Valid MN driver's license. · Proficiency with computer equipment and scheduling software (Kronos). · Maintain a high level of confidentiality. · Effectively manage overtime and work to reduce mandating. · Excellent verbal and written communication.
