Consultant - Designated Manager
Overview:
STAR is looking to add to our consulting and training team! We’re looking for an experienced professional who qualifies as a Designated Coordinator and Designated Manager to work on a creative and innovative team supporting providers in the disability field. Candidates with formal person-centered training and facilitation are encouraged to apply! This position is a combination of working from home, working at the office in Saint Paul, and going to customer locations throughout Minnesota but primarily in the Twin Cities Metro area.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE: Function in a Designated Coordinator, Designated Manager, and/or QDDP role for specific customers, coordinate and assist customer HCBS programs, Maintain a working understanding of applicable rules and regulations including but not limited to the following: 245A, 245C, 245D, Vulnerable Adult Act, Maltreatment of Minors Act, HIPAA, and Adult Foster Care, Consult with customers regarding current rules and regulations as governed by the Department of Human Services and the Department of Health, Consult with and educate customers regarding licensing requirements, Facilitate Person-Centered Planning, Develop and teach engaging training curriculum, and coach individual staff
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Qualify as a Designated Coordinator and Designated Manager, Strong communication skills, Ability to train others, Excellent customer service skills, Must have a valid driver’s license, Experience or training with person-centered facilitation using various methods preferred, Experience with technical writing preferred
