Area Director

The Area Director is responsible for managing the day to day operations of services to people with intellectual / developmental disabilities by assuring supports and services are person-centered and delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, organizations policies and procedures, and within budgetary guidelines.

Provide strong leadership to create effective and efficient teams. Leads communication and fosters business relationships. Ensures that all departmental regulations are met on a local, state, and federal level. Partners with internal departments to recommend, develop, and implement policies and standard operating procedures. Monitors and oversight of budget and financials of the region.

Minimum Job Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited program in administration, psychology, education, social work, special education, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, or closely related field. Two or more years of experience in human or social services at a management level. Two or more years of experience in business management and/or personnel management preferred. License, Registrations or Certifications: Active Drivers’ License, willingness to obtain CPR / First Aid Certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
